Corner Separation Control Using a New Combined Slotted Configuration in a High-Turning Compressor Cascade under Different Solidities

In order to comprehensively control the corner separation and blade trailing edge (TE) in a high-turning compressor stator cascade, this research proposes new combined slotted configuration consisting of one full-span slot two blade-end slots. Taking into account effect solidity, performance original cascade was calculated evaluated wide incidence angle range at solidities. The results indicated that loading becomes larger as solidity decreases from 1.66 1.36, which leads higher total pressure loss lower diffusing capacity under positive angles. low-momentum fluid boundary layer can be significantly re-energized by high-momentum slots jets, hence eliminate TE reduce remarkably full By adopting configuration, loss, turning static coefficient increased −23.2%, 2.7° 4.7% on average, respectively, when is 1.66, while they −27.7%, 3.3° 7.6% 1.36. has significant adaptability low (or high loading) condition it shows certain potential increasing aeroengine thrust-to-weight ratio decreasing single-stage number.
